Welcome to Thomas Keble

Mr. Shaw, Headteacher

When I walk through the corridors of Thomas Keble, I am reminded every day why our vision matters: every individual belongs, is valued, and thrives. For me, this isn’t just a statement—it’s a promise. A promise that every child who joins our community will feel seen, heard, and supported to become the very best version of themselves.

Belonging is at the heart of everything we do. It means creating a school where students feel safe to be themselves, where relationships are strong, and where every voice matters. It means high expectations, yes—but also compassion, care, and the belief that success looks different for every child.

Our REACH values of Respect, Excellence, Ambition, Compassion, and Honesty, are more than words on a page. They shape how we treat each other, how we learn, and how we grow together. They remind us that education is not just about grades; it’s about character, confidence, and contribution.

I am proud of the exceptional teaching and pastoral care that define our school, and of the rich opportunities beyond the classroom that help our students discover who they are and what they can achieve. We work in partnership with families and our wider community because we know that education is a shared journey.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Thomas Keble. I hope you will see what I see every day—a vibrant, inclusive school where every child belongs and every future is full of possibility.

Best wishes,

S P Shaw

What Our Students Say

    Evie

    Year 11

My TK journey started in 2018. I remember being nervous, but soon settled and made new friends. I am a very sporty, so tried all the clubs that I could in Year 7; I enjoyed them all! The House competitions have been great, with some sporting events and others music or drama related. I have really enjoyed my time at TK, and the staff have been so helpful. This was especially true during the lock-down period. I feel ready and prepared for my GCSE exams and I know I have good support from my teachers and friends.

    Jake

    Year 8

My name is Jake, and I am in Year 8. I really enjoy going to such a great school because the departments are amazing and the teachers and staff are kind and helpful. Lessons are fun and interactive, and I've made some great friends since starting at TK.

    James

    Year 7

I came to Thomas Keble with only a few of my friends, but TK made me feel very welcome. I was really excited by the amazing things I had heard. I can remember the first day and how nice everyone was. The environment TK had created gave me the ability to make friends more quickly. They give me many opportunities and always someone to talk to if you ever need it. They have everyone’s best interests at heart and do everything that could help. I hope that everyone else will have the same experience in their own way.

    Sam

    Year 8

Hi my name is Sam. I love it here at TK and I like the teachers a lot. One of the reasons I love it here is that I can play in a band with my friends at lunch times. The thing I like most about this, is that we can be as loud as we want to be. The teachers don't knock on the door to say "that's too loud". Another thing I like about this school is that it allows you (or anyone) to be very creative. This school is a great, supportive and fun school.
