Welcome to Thomas Keble! Before you leave year 6, we will be visit as many of you as possible in your primary schools, and I am writing to introduce myself as your new Head of Year. Some of you know me quite well already as I have taught many of your brothers and sisters. My job is to look after you and ensure that you manage to transfer from primary school to Thomas Keble as smoothly as possible. I have a team of 5 tutors and between the tutors and myself we make all the contact with your parents. When you start at Thomas Keble, I’ll be here to make sure you are happy and achieving the best in lessons that you can.

You will all be arranged into five tutor groups, and you will meet your classmates and your tutor on our induction day – this takes place shortly before the Summer holiday. You might have people in your tutor group that you already know, but there will also be lots of new people to meet. It is really important to make the most of your time at Thomas Keble and involve yourself in many of the activities on offer at lunchtime and after school – your tutor will be provide you with details of all that is available.

When you join Thomas Keble in September remember work to the best of your ability at all times, aim to do all you can to help others and have fun, but work hard. I look forward to meeting you soon and have a good summer holiday!
